Secretary-Treasurer PCC Michael Brand has been a member of the Valley City Lions Club since 1982. He served as District Governor for 5NE in 1988-89 and Council Chair 1989-90. Lion Mike was appointed to the Multiple District 5 secretary-treasurer position in 1992 to the present Lion Brand has been a Lion for 28 years.
During his time as a Lion, Mike has received the 100% President Award, District Governor Award, two Lion of the Year Awards and an Extension certificate. He has also been the recipient of four International President Certificates of Appreciation, the Presidential Award and is a Melvin Jones Fellow.
Lion Brand is a graduate of Moorhead State University in Moorhead, Minnesota. He taught for five years and currently resides in Valley City, North Dakota where he has been a salesman for Cass Clay Creamery for the past 27 years.
Mike is active as a volunteer fireman and involved in church activities. He and his wife, Barb, have two grown children, Matt and Andrea.
