Lion Donelda joined Regina Lakeside Lions Club in May 1997 and has 100% perfect attendance.
At the club level, Lion Donelda served as Treasurer for 7 years, as Vice President and President, is currently the Tail Twister and is the Chairperson of many committees.
At the District 5CE level, Lion Donelda was Zone Chairperson for 3 years and was the first Women’s Membership and Participation Chair.
Donelda has attended 19 Multiple District Conventions, 19 District 5CE Conventions and numerous other District Conventions, attending with her husband, Lion Wayne, prior to becoming a member herself. She has attended 1 USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forum in Columbus, Ohio and is a volunteer with the forum to be held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 2008.
Lion Donelda has received a Melvin Jones Fellowship, a Garnet Davis Fellowship, a Lions Foundation of Canada Fellowship and 1 International Presidents Certificate of Appreciation. She is a life member of the Lions Foundation of Canada, the Saskatchewan Lions Eye Bank and is a Certified Guiding Lion.
She is a volunteer driver and Bingo worker for the Canadian National Institute of the Blind.
Donelda has always been involved in her community. Prior to being a Lion, she was a member of the United Commercial Travelers Ladies Auxiliary and was manager of her son’s hockey and soccer clubs.
Lion Donelda was employed with The Royal Bank of Canada for 29 years and has been a full time homemaker and volunteer since 1994.
She and Husband, Lion Wayne have 2 children.
